The Tributo Ring draws inspiration from the intricate jewelry technique called granulation, which has historical roots in various cultures including the Mesoamerican civilization. This artistry involves meticulously crafting small gold beads that are then fused together without losing their individual shapes.Adding a collection of gemstones referred to as the Cardinal Gems or big four, a rough diamond, a sapphire, and a ruby, complement The Tributo Ring. These gems, amongst emerald, have been cherished for their exceptional rarity, exquisite beauty, and rich historical significance.We created each bead by hand, letting the metal melt into its own shape and by marrying the ancient look of Mesoamerican gold jewelry with the rough presentation of gemstones, we immortalize their imperfect shapes, visible impurities, and distinctive uniqueness, we celebrate the innate beauty of these materials in their natural state.
