This ring stands as a pedestal for the materials used in Mexican craftsmanship. Like the use of inlaid abalone shell from the coasts of Baja California, and mahogany obsidian from Hidalgo. It recuperates the use of shell, common in ancient Mexican cultures, encompassing practical and symbolic purposes, from art and adornment to religion and trade. And serves as a foundation to admire the unique patterns of obsidian, prized for its sharpness and cutting ability, used to create blades, knives, and arrowheads.
