Made to be hanged on your wall, your door, your desk, or your tree, to gift or to keep, they’re completely made by hand. By sanding and staining each carved wood heart, forming, soldering, sawing, and filing the metal, giving it a satin finish, and adding a small, twisted hanging wire to finish it, each Sacred Heart Ornament is one of a kind.
*Due to the nature of olive wood, they have a moderate weight to them.

The Sacred Heart Ornaments are inspired by the presence of the sacred heart iconography in Mexican culture and history. With roots during the colonial period, the image became a symbol of spiritual strength for the Mexican people. Often adorned with unique elements and motifs, they are common in many religious objects, folk art, paintings, sculptures, and in the form of retablos or ex-votos.
