Rosa Bobadilla was one of the few known important female figures in the mexican revolution. After widowed, Zapata gives her the rank of colonel, and after the death of her two sons in battle, she continues leading her troops and emerged victorious in many battles against the federal. Bobadilla settled in a house in the state of Cuernavaca and she opened her doors to give refuge to the revolution widows and children, this house became known as "Vecindad La Coronela".
